Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use Vidoveli, what we do with it and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we do not sell your data, and your videos are not used to train AI models.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture.
  • Sign-in records: when you sign in by email, the code we send is stored only in hashed form, together with the address it went to and a keyed hash of your network (never the IP address itself). To keep free credits to one account per person, we also keep a normalized form of your email address (for Gmail, without dots or a +tag) with the account that receives them.
  • Your content: the videos you upload or link to, their transcripts, the clips, captions and edits you make, and files you add to your brand kit.
  • Usage data: actions in the product such as projects created, exports and credits used, plus technical data such as browser type, device and IP address.
  • Payment details: handled by Stripe, our payment provider. We receive your plan, the amounts paid and the state of your subscription, never your card number.

2. How we use it

  • To run the service: transcribing and analyzing your videos, rendering clips, saving your projects and showing them to you.
  • To sign you in, keep your account secure and prevent abuse of free credits.
  • To send sign-in codes, messages about your account and important service notices.
  • To understand how the product is used so we can fix problems and improve it.

3. Your videos and AI

Your videos are processed by AI models to produce transcripts, clip suggestions, captions and post text. This processing runs on infrastructure operated for us by Cloudflare. Your videos are not used to train AI models, by us or by our providers.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run Vidoveli, under contracts that limit what they may do with it:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, file storage, AI processing and sending email, such as sign-in codes.
  • Google: sign-in, if you choose “Continue with Google” or pick your Google account in the sign-in prompt your browser shows on our public pages. To offer that prompt to visitors who are not signed in, those pages load Google’s sign-in service, so Google receives the technical details any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser, under its own privacy policy. We receive nothing from Google unless you choose an account.
  • Pexels: when you search stock footage in the editor, your search words are sent to Pexels. Your videos are not.
  • Stripe: payments, invoices and receipts, and the billing portal where you manage your plan.

5. Share links

A clip is private until you create a share link for it. Anyone with the link can watch that clip. You can switch a link off at any time.

6. Cookies

We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in, to protect sign-in (such as a short-lived cookie that ties Google’s sign-in prompt to your browser) and to remember your preferences. Google’s sign-in prompt may use Google’s own cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. How long we keep data

On the Free plan, a project and its files are deleted 3 days after it is created. On Creator and Business, projects are kept while you subscribe and for 30 days after the plan ends; then the Free plan’s 3 days apply. A project you move to the trash can be restored until you delete it for good, or until it has been there 30 days; then its files are removed from our storage. When you delete your account, we delete its projects, files and account details straight away. Invoices and payment records stay with Stripe for as long as the law requires, and we keep the normalized email address that received free credits (section 1), so that a new account with that address does not receive them again. Sign-in codes, and the network data that comes with them, are deleted after 24 hours.

8. Your choices and rights

You can download your clips, delete your projects and delete your whole account in the product at any time (Account, in your workspace). You can also ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it (for example, to change your email address) or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to support@vidoveli.com and we will answer within 30 days.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, files are stored in private storage, and access is limited to what is needed to run the service. No online service can promise perfect security, so we also ask you to keep your Google account and your email inbox secure.

10. Children

Vidoveli is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and, for important changes, tell you by email.

Vidoveli (vidoveli.com) is responsible for the personal data described in this policy (it is the data controller). Questions or requests: support@vidoveli.com. We reply within 2 business days, and complete requests about your personal data within 30 days.
